How do i fix screen resolution / monitor choice while screen is pretty much unreadabl

Hi,

Just finished installing FC4 with KDE, all went fine. When I first ran FC4 I was asked which monitor/resolution I wanted to run. Entered 1024x864 for my Philips 190B and confirmed. The result I have now have a working KDE but I am having gigantic skewed characters that go way off my screen.

No I have not been drinking or taking nasty pills :) The trouble is that my FC4 is pretty much unworkable as it boots to GUI (which is stuffed).

How do I get back to my default monitor settings?

Thanks,

T-dog

resolution

Are you sure about your resolution? most 1024 horiz takes 786 vert.
If thats not your problem you might try control + +
edit: Ilooked at the date wrong , you probably already solved your problem.
