problem automounting cd in FC3

I am using FC3. I want to automount cds when they are inserted. I went to Preferences>Removable Media and checked the Auto mount option. I also started the haldaemon. I also tried changing the permissions for the cd drive. But nothing has helped. I am confused. Please help.

The /etc/fstab entry for my cd drive is as follows:

/dev/hdc /media/cdrom auto pamconsole,fscontext=system_u:
object_r:removable_t ,exec,noauto,managed 0 0

Are those cdroms something that would actually take off a autorun?
I actually removed the autorun feature as I didn't like the mouse thingy flashing away while it tried to decide if the cdrom could run or not.

That feature is disabled for root user but the other users have it in their home directory under the hidden .kde/Autostart/Autorun.desktop
The properties has this unflattering diddy...
Comment=Autorun - the CD-ROM mounter for the lazy user

Anyway, if you have autorunable cdroms and Autorun.desktop is still there, then I don't know off hand what gives.
