Power off problem

Hi folks,

FC5_64
Atlon 64 3000+
ASUS A8N-VM motherboard.

"Power off"/"shutdown -h now" won't power off. The screen hung on "System Halted"

This problem has been existing for more than 3 weeks after installation of FC5. The OS is working without much problem. Googling did not find me the solution.

I suspect the problem coming from the BIOS of the motherboard. WinXP running on another HD on this PC works without problem on power off during exiting WinXP.

Any suggestion? TIA

B.R.
