Packages crashing on Gnome on FC8

I bought my first laptop a couple of days back:
Dell Inspiron 1525
Core 2 duo 1.83 GHz
2 GB RAM
160 GB hard disk

I usually use GNOME and have found that many applications (Gftp, Kftpgrabber, Gproftpd) are crashing. I am providing the crash report of GProftpd generated by bug-buddy below. Gftp has been installed by yum and also from source code but the problem remains. Kftpgrabber has been installed from the DVD itself and Gproftpd from yum.

Can someone tell me if they had similar problems? Could it be a problem with Gtk or Gnome? Do I need to reinstall these?

I will install KDE and see if the problem persists.

Thanks in advance.

Open a ticket, you could, in Fedora's bugtracker?

I didn't understand the question. What exactly would you like me try out? I have problems now and then but I simply restart the application. I have a 10 GB partition free so I am going to get started with LFS soon.
Thanks.

Sorry. I think you should search Fedoras bugtracker for similar problems and if none match open a ticket there.
