P5NMX supports which Linux ???????


Hi,

I am using Intel core2Duo E7200 with AUSS P5N MX board.
want to install Linux on my machine, but on web come to know this mother board is having issues with linux. specially LAN card , NVIDIA Graphics card.
can anyone let me know P5NMX supports which flavour of linux (Fedora or any other).

Did a google, found this --> http://www.linux-tested.com/results/asus_p5n-mx.html

FC -8 and Mandriva 2008 both work. Note, the sound hardware was not detected.

These are not the newest releases, you may be able to get the audio going by now. FC is now version 9 and Mandriva is 2008.1 with 2009 in beta...

Your sound hardware is listed as

hi,

i installed VMware player on WinXP , now i am running fedora 8 image using vmware player.
I want to access linux drives in windows so that i can map these linux derive in windows using map network drive.
How to enable samba , what are the steps for this please let me know.
After installing vmware i can see two network connection named "vmware Network adapter".

Timely help would be appreciated.
