Angry OpenGL rendering

i have recently install FC3. there are a lot of new changes in this distro and i have not explored them all so i really am not going to criticize the distro too much yet, but there is something i am really upset about. i have an nvidia card and i am trying to get the card to do the gl rendering, but instead, mesa is doing that. i am not sure how to make the card do it instead of the software. here is my glxinfo print out. i am using the newest nvidia drivers along with the fc3 kernel with 16k stacks, which is only to correct another problem. i have loaded the glx module in xorg.conf and have put the nvidia driver in there as well. i also got rid of the dri entry. in /etc/udev/devices i did also put the nvidia* entries and assigned the correct permissions. if anyone has any suggestion i would appreciate it. just an aside i was playing with slackware and even though i did not care for the distro, i was getting the best framerates on this card ever in slack, like a 200% increase over fedora :-/. and i was running the 2.4 kernel. so i am kind of stumped as to why fedora can not give me the video performance that slack does.

thank you.
