My sound driver isn't successfully installed in F9.
There is a red cross beside the speaker icon on the panel, indicating something wrong. And there's no sound, of course.
I used command lsmod | grep snd, and the result is:
Maybe you have installed wrong modules. You can try unistall pulseaudio, install the last version of ALSA, and if you still having problems run #alsaconf. If it's works,see again the output of lsmod and use it like a reference in a next installation of pulseaudio. I never have used pulseaudio so it's all I can tell you.

Got it! quite simple actually. Just do the following: System --> preferences --> Hardware --> Volume Control, and make sure the speaker buttons are not quiet.
