libdvdread and lsdvd


checking for DVDOpen in -ldvdread... no
configure: error: libdvdread not found!
[root@cook lsdvd-0.10]# rpm -qa|grep dvdread
libdvdread-0.9.4-6.1.fc3.fr
[root@cook lsdvd-0.10]# locate dvdread
/var/cache/yum/extras/headers/libdvdread-0.9.4-6.1.fc3.rf.i386.hdr
[root@cook lsdvd-0.10]#


? how to make the lsdvd installation find the already installed libdvdread?

are u sure that this is the library version that it is looking for

it's getting impossible since this lsdvd is actually needed for me about another package...(tovid) I'm stuck

why locate finds it oly in cache or maybe the lib is with another name after install...?!?

Where did you get LSDVD from? Was it from Acid_Kewpie's AcidRip page/links, or from the Lsdvd project? Thinking about it, it's likely to be the former since the latter don't seem to have released anything yet.

Maybe we should se if Acid_Kewpie will do responding.

yes from the former but is not good at all can you tell me how to check where is that lib installed (libdvdread) because I can't find it with locate

if anyone is interested the solution is libdvdread-devel have fun converting to/from DVD SVCD
