I have set my kicker to auto hide after 3 seconds. when I mouse over the area it never reappears. If I select the option to never hide it works fine. Can someone shed some light on how to get it to work correctly?
Well, how did you set the "Raise when pointer touches:" option? What you set there is how it's supposed to "unhide" the panel.
You could also set the "panel hiding" button(s) on, and use those.
Oh, which version of KDE are you using? It might make a difference if it's too low. (The above works on 3.4 and 3.5, but I've never tried any KDE version less than 3.4, so there might be some difference.)
I changed it from raise when touches left to raise when touch bottom and now it works. Thank you. Sometimes it is the simple things that are overlooked.
No problem. Just a comment: Yesterday I noticed a post in another forum where the kicker panel had disappeared, and could not be raised. But the cause (and solution) was different. In that case the user had created a second panel and placed it on top of the kicker panel, so the kicker never saw the mouse position, and, therefore, couldn't respond to the "raise" mouse position.
