kernel: net dummy0_rename: device_rename: sysfs_create_symlink failed (-17)

I've updated one of my boxes from F7 to F8. Afterwards, I'm getting the:

kernel: net dummy0_rename: device_rename: sysfs_create_symlink failed (-17)

messages in the logs. A "modprobe dummy" gives an entry for dummy0_rename in ifconfig. This did not happen in F7 - there it came in as dummy0. I've been trolling the web for a few days trying to figure out 1) what's going on and 2) how do I fix it, but with little results so far. I've not had to deal with udev in the past, but I've been trying to learn. As far as I can tell, there are no rule entries for dummy, or at least not that I can find.

Has anybody got any clues as to why this might be happening?

TIA
