ipw2200 problem of 2.6.16-1.2111_FC5 kernel

After upgrading the kernel to the latest 2.6.16-1.2111_FC5, the wireless light on my ThinkPad Z60m was never on with all network configurations are not changed. Before upgrading, the wireless light started blinking after udev was loaded. In the new kernel, manual insert ipw2200 module using "modprobe ipw2200" gives this message:

ipw2200: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200/2915 Network Driver, git-1.0.8
ipw2200: Copyright(c) 2003-2005 Intel Corporation
ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:14:02.0[A] -> GSI 21 (level, low) -> IRQ 18
ipw2200: Detected Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection
eth1: NETDEV_TX_BUSY returned; driver should report queue full via ieee_device->is_queue_full.

Obviously something seems wrong. The firmware driver I am using is ipw2200-firmware-2.4-1.lvn5 which contains ipw-2.2 and ipw-2.4. Is this a compatibility problem between ipw2200 driver and the new kernel? How to fix this problem?

Its quite possible but cannot say for sure. When was the last time u had a firmware upgrade? Check for updates and stuff at your manufacturers site.

Also try passing the 'ACPI=OFF' argument to the kernel at boot up.
