Hey Guys,
I have been following through some guides and came across iptablelog which looks rather interesting and though I'd give it a crack. All seems to go through without a hitch until I attempt to start it which then comes up with
I used the following to start it
which brings up the following error
Code:
Starting iptables logfile analyzer: ./iptablelog: line 22: start-stop-daemon: command not found
Looking at line 22 in iptablelog it has
Code:
start-stop-daemon --start --quiet --pidfile /var/run/$NAME.pid --exec $DAEMON -- --background
Doing a locate start-stop-daemon no matches are found.
After searching it would appear that start-stop-daemon is a Debian thing and FC3 from what I understand has something called daemon but even when I do a locate on that nothing comes up either so I'm back to square one.
I guess my question is how can I replace the start-stop-daemon with a Fedora equivalent?
Thank
Cheers
Darren
