That sounds like you need a kernel module for 2.6-kernel. What are you trying to do?
Something like this?

a software i'm trying to install reports an error saying it can't find "lufs.ko" thus cannot finish the installation. i tried to find that file myself, but only found a link to that file. the link points to another location, but "lufs.ko" is nowhere to be found in that location. it seems that "lufs.ko" does not exist on my computer. How do i recover this "lufs.ko" file so i can get on with installing my program?

From where you found it?

To what location?

Did you tried using locate or find -- how did you searched your system?
