i installed fedora 11 fresh on a new system. i installed a few server packages and chose not to install x server/or a desktop environment because i just need command line. after install it reboots and loads fedora and where the command line login should be the text says...
Code:
e100:eth0 NIC Link is up 100 Mbps full duplex
ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready
ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): eth0:link becomes ready
JBD: barrier-based sync failed on dm-0:8-disabling barriers
Have you tried disabling SELinux and seeing if the error disappears?
Just edit /etc/selinux/config and set the SELINUX= line to read SELINUX=disabled
Then reboot and see if it still complains.
If it does, I -think- "JBD" stands for "Journalled Block Device" which means otherwise (if it is NOT SELINUX causing the problem) you might have some kind of disk / HDD problem. Are you using the ext4 or ext3 as filing system?
Yep, that's what I meant... see if you boot off the install DVD and use the rescue mode, if you can edit the relevant files referred to in my previous post.
