How can i play media files off of my Win2k NTFS Hard drrive from Fedora
I have win2k professional on my 80 gig master Hard drive and have recently installed Fedora core on my 20 gig slave, i really enjoy using this OS instead of windows but i have 2 gigs of media that i would like to be able to access from within fedora, any help is greatly appreciated!

You will need to compile NTFS read support into the kernel. NTFS write support is a bad idea, but reading works just fine.

alright sounds good, now is there a site with documentation or do you have the instructions on how to go about this? i am really wanting to learn as much as i can so thanks for the input!

Well, first thing you need is the kernel source, if you don't already have it. I am not sure what the package is called, but there should be one available from Fedora.
There kernel source is usually found in /usr/src/linux.
There is a howto on this site here

thanks for you help, i found this site to be greatly helpfull! http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/ i can now browse everything, but when i tried to play an MP3 the XMS says that the mp3 support was taken our by redhat? im trying to play my own bands music lol what can i do now?

done it now.......used a tar.gz file and copied the lib files to /usr/lib/xmms/Input
