I really like Fedora, but it is still stressfull about my hardware in an issue or two. All help is appreciated and thank you beforehand for reading this.
- I can't run up2date! Even setting the proxy (that gets unset everytime I run config) and launching from the terminal with up2date-nox --proxy=<my URL here> it still can't find the header.info file. I do a wget of the URL it's trying to catch and I can download it, in the same command line session! I even checked /etc/sysconfig/rhn/up2date and the proxy is correctly set. What gives?
- loading the sound module for my sound board (Ali5451, uses the Trident DX/NX driver) takes ages (5+ seconds), but works. Aren't modules supposed to load in a snap?
- Mozilla doesn't have the thingy of pressing "down" while filling the address bar to search it with Google... what gives?
Apart from these issues, my experience has been sweet. Very sweet.
Please help! Thanks once again.
