hello, I'm trying to get fedora core 3 working with my graphics card. its a 256 meg radeon 9800 pro. I've uninstalled the mesa3d drivers and installed the ati ones, but it still uses software rendering(I think..). can anyone help?
HAve you ran fglrxconfig I had a similar problem where OpenGL would not run with my radion 9600 and doing this solved some of it. I still cant get some apps to run but am going to look into re-installing them to see if that works.
it's easy just check lsmod and do a grep| radeon <- mesa should be not there and grep|fglrx pay attention to used by: # also modprobe fglrx any errors? I can send you very good xorg.conf if you like
