Fedora core 2 battery applet issue

Hello I am trying to make work the battery monitor of fedora core 2.

The acpid daemon loads and works fine
cat /proc/acpi/battery/CMB0/status works fine too
the battery applet shows wheter the AC adapter is plugged or not.

but

The applet does not detect my battery. I think that the problem is that it looks for /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0 or BAT1 or something like that, and as far as CMB0 is a very strange name it does not read that information.

Any suggestion would be really appreciated.

Juan Antonio

Try making symlinks to the devices or files you think must be used with the names of the files the applet uses.
for more details "man ln"
