FC4 Final, APT Needed

I REALLY need APT to setup FC4 to play MP3's and DVD's, and also to get totem-xine. I checked freshrpms.net and they don't have FC4 listed! What should I do? I don't know of any other way to set up this stuff.

Red face Relax!...

Not trying to freeze you down, but You should not expect to have all the RPMs for FC4 the same right day the OS version comes out...
Give them people some time to build up the updated packages....patience!

Well, there's an easier way around.....just go over to the fedora's extras page and you will find apt and synaptic and a whole lot more of rpms ready to roll for FC4.

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...extras/4/i386/

Have a nice day!

You don't really need apt to add multimedia to FC4. All you need to do is add the Fedora Extras repositories to your yum configuration. I have not yet checked whether the apps are crippled for mp3.

I tried that but totem-xine won't play any video files, so I guess I need the one from freshrpms...

Freshrpms and dag don't yet have totem-xine rpms for FC4. Maybe the FC3 packages will work, or you can just get the xine packages from xines website and then compile totem on your own.
