Using FC6...

It was working great yesterday and today I fireup my box and at boot I get the followings...

mount: error while loading shared libraries: libblkid.so.1: failed to map segment from shared object: Permission denied

then at the bottom of the screen there is more message that says this

****An error ocurred during the file system check.
**** Dropping you to a shell; the system will reboot
****when you leave the shell.
****Warning -- SELinux is active
****Disabling security enforment for system recovery.
**** Run 'setenforce 1' to reenable.
Give root password for maintenance
(or type Control-D to continue):

I have no Idea of what's need to be done here guys...I'm hoping you gurus Linux can help fix this issue...

Thanks inadvance...

Yikes! I got these types of errors on Red Hat 6 (long ago and far away) on EXT2 filesystems if I had a power outage and the system was not able to shut down cleanly. I've got no idea how to fix it, though... except maybe trying to copy a new copy of that file over it??

Did you have some form of abnormal shutdown / power failure? Are you sure your harddisk isn't damage? Somebody jostle or bump into your case while the PC was running?

Is it a new / old HDD? A brand new or very old HDD might be faulty from the factory or starting to break down - I think this can happen if that particular file somehow got corrupted.

I fixed the problem by editing the grub on the boot kernel I added this line

selinux=0

what happened is that I enable SELinux and then I rebooted my box and I ended up getting this error...

its solved....

after I added the selinux=0 I managed to get to desktop and edit SELinux to disable...
