Doesn't see my windows network?

I'm not sure if this post belongs here (move it if it needs to be moved I guess).

Anyway, I am a total linux newbie. I installed fedora, went to the menu, clicked network servers, went to windows network, and it showed WORKGROUP and all the computers in it. Now [after updating everything] when I goto windows network under network servers, the window it comes up with is blank.

I'm sure there is something simple I can do to fix this, but I'm a newb and that's why I'm askin

you may need to go into the samba config program again, when you update from a base install (which does include a update to SMB) it clears all your settings for some odd reason.
