Q: What does this "icon" link to?

Right-click on the icon, and select properties to determine where/what it is the link is to.

i did what you have said ...it opens a window saying computer properties and there are basically 3 options BASIC,EMBLEMS,PERMISSIONS.in the basic one i get the following information...

EMBLEMS has a list of icons...

Anyone else feel free to suggest....

Or should u just make a new link.....?

Dude! Sorry about the long away...

Turns out interestingly enough...that i have the same problem with some of the launchers that I've created. Using GNOME.

The only suggestion i have and could come up with is creating another launcher, and making it run the command

#$ nautilus (or konqueror etc) <homedir>

fill in <homedir> with the path to your home directory.

Hope that helps....

Once again sorry bout the great delay...

That doesnt work because computer doesnt open the home directory. It opens somewhere else. But where?
Also, root user can access it, but no everyone else?
what's up???

Did u make the launcher as root?

Is this for ur root user?

What directory does it open?

What command did you put into the launcher?
