Open failed, would you like to choose another action?
the default acction cant open 'Computer' because it cant access files at "computer" locations

when i click the OK button another window pops up which says

***********
there are 4 option on the list

gThumb default for folder
MUSIC PLAYER not in menu
STARTHERE.DESKTOP in menu for "folder"
TERMINAL not in menu
there is a box declared a gThumb and inside that is the message.........

2>use as default for "FOLDER" items
3>include in the menu for "Computer" only
4>Use as default for "Computer" only
5>Dont include in the menu for "Folder" items
giving a cancel and coming back to the previous window...there is one more box declared
File Type and Programs
in this box a message is there which says..
You can configure which programs are offered for which file types in the File Types and programs dialog...there is a button for this which reads Go there which if i click i window named as EDIT FILE TYPE opens up...
there is a Description box and place for entering the details....,MIME type, category,Filename Extensions ,ACtions, view component,Default action,Pogram to run,Run in Terminal....
i have given all the details now please somebody help me!!!!!!
Also peviously i was able to view the files of the windows OS installed in other PCS through Network Servers option in main menu....
but now even that is havin poblem....
i did what you have said ...it opens a window saying computer properties and there are basically 3 options BASIC,EMBLEMS,PERMISSIONS.in the basic one i get the following information...
************
Name: Computer
Type: Folder
Contents: ....
Location: /
Volume: unknown
Free Space: unknown
MOdified: Unknown
***************
EMBLEMS has a list of icons...
PERRMISSION shows up the permission bits for it.
this is the information i am able to view if i click the properties of COMPUTER ICON IN THE DESKTOP.
That doesnt work because computer doesnt open the home directory. It opens somewhere else. But where?
Also, root user can access it, but no everyone else?
