Post Openning Port need Help

Hi all.

I need some help fast:

here's the situation.

when i scan port on my loopback address (127.0.0.1) then the port shows open.

[root@betaserver root]#nmap localhost

22 open ssh
25 open smtp
53 open domain
8080 open http-proxy
10000 open somehost

when i scan port on the network interface on the host (192.168.1.22)

[root@betaserver root]#nmap 192.168.1.22
22 open ssh
53 open domain
8080 open http-proxy

the smtp and the webmin(10000) port is not showed open. anybody know the why and the solution? thanks

Just a guess -- The machine's hostname is mapped to 127.0.0.1 in /etc/hosts. I've noticed that some distros (specifically Fedora) do this now, regardless of it being completely wrong....

So, to clarify, you should have this in your hosts file (at a minimum):

Code:
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
192.168.1.22 betaserver.<insert domain> betaserver

Then crack open the config files and change the IP that they bind to
