I installed Fedora on my SATA drive thinking I would get a boot menu and select. Fedora recognized everything and installed flawlessly. When I clicked on reboot, all was going well and XP started up nicely(Ubuntu killed my windows). I thought I missed the menu and rebooted again.
nothing only windows and 2 partitions I can't see in them. Hmmm any advise?
Do you mean you installed on a second drive? If so, try booting from this drive (you should have a starup option to change boot order, otherwise you may have to fiddle with your bios)
A lot of people used to other distros are having the problem of missing the FC5 grub window, it's only there for 5 secs, Some people still swear that it hasn't appeared at all, So it's very easy to miss. Although it should boot FC5 not windows.
Did you tell it to install to the mbr??? when it gives you that option.
You can reinstall grub from the cd/dvd in rescue mode
