I just upgraded my FC2 to FC3 from those 4 CD's...

I started FC3 and everything seemed to fine at the beginning, but when "Press I for Interactive setup" came to screen and couple of first OK's the damn thing jammed..

After 10-15 minutes came something like "don't have access to File System" .. When I waited long enough.. everything "FAILED" and FC3 didn't run X... !!

Well, I didn't want to hassle with that anymore and made a fresh install from those CD's..

NOW THIS WORKS F.I.N.E!

Has someone else had the same problem?

By the way.. Upgrading that FC2 took 2-3 times longer than fresh install...?!?!

Haven't had your problem, but it took nearly 2 hours from a 24-speed CD-ROM drive with a P4 1.8GHz, but I guess hdd speed matters to some degree, too - don't know how I score there, but ext3 is known to be slower at least than reiserfs.
