Question audit troubles whatever it is ^^; help!!!

I've got this problem after upgrading from fedora core 3 to core 6

I upgraded it with core 4 and 5 as middle jumps and everything seemed to work fine till core 6

then when I had upgraded it started promting me 4 this message in the commandpromt

audit(1169285294.360:1739): avc: denied {append} fore pid=2216 comm="nmbd" name="nmbd.log" dev=dm-0 ino=3532171 scontext=system_u:system_r:nmbd_t:s0 tcontex t=rootbject_r:var_log_t:s0 tclass=file

and I noticed that a auditd failed at bootup

how can I correct this problem ? as far as my research goes the audit is some sort of security program or am I totally lost here ?

several have sugested to reinstall it but since ,I have many services on it and that reinstalling doesn't teach me much else than just how to install linux, reinstalling isn't an option!! please help me figure out this problem ^^

Try following with google.
Code:
avc: denied {append}
nmbd is your problem application. Anyway try google first. It is security context issue and those are difficult to understand ( for me atleast ) and as you want learn it so you better learn it in a hard way. I haven't seen a clean examples about advantages and workings of SElinux so if you find one please post that link here.
