Acer Aspire 5500/02

Has anyone installed any linux version on an Acer aspire 5500/5502?

please don't point me to the hardware compatibility lists etc, since I have already browsed most of them.

My question is has anyone done it on this exact machine?
If so, please let me know.
i am getting one of these and thinking of installing either FC/suse10.1 or ubantu...

any other relevant input welcome.

thanks.
