Thanks dr.ace i already installed and using sux,which allows opening gui apps.but i am jus curious about how we can set "su -" to allow guis running.

You can make ~root/.Xauthority point to ~user/.Xauthority

Just use sux instead of su, or create an alias to sux called su, or add XAUTHORITY=/home/regular-user/.Xauthority to /root/.bashrc
