Hello macondo,

your post was really helpful for me, although it is some days old.
I just upgraded from kernel 2.4 to kernel 2.6 and had the same problem.
My mouse (Logitech Wheel) worked with kernel 2.4, but not with kernel 2.6.
Now the mouse works fine under 2.6, too.
