Fedora freeze on initial boot, but works fine on reboot.

Hi,

I'm runing fedora core 1 on:
Toshiba satellite laptop
The CPU seems to be running 430 MHz and it has about 60 MB memory (don't have the exact specs)
Net: Xircom CEM28 Ethernet/modem
Sound: ES1978 Maestro 2E
Video: Cyber 9525

Every time i boot fedora (first time) the boot stops (freezes with a black screen) right before the login screen, but when i restart the system everything seems to work fine - it's a bit annoying to boot twice every time i want to use the computer

I've tried shifting from gdm to kdm - same problem.

Help would be much appreciated!
