I have a new Sarge installation, and a few times now X has just locked up on logging out from a root session, forcing me to reset the machine.
Anyone seen this?
You're right, only as root.
And that's the only problem i can report.
I scrapped mepis and Sid/etch and went back to a combination of Libranet 2.8.1 and Sarge
with an old 2.4.27 kernel and now everything just works.
In sid /etch both the Audigy soundcard and Prolink bt878 TV card gave problems, now they worked out of the box along with my multifunction HP scanner/printer.
If your needs are modest stick to Sarge..
