When will knoppix be updated with kde 3.5.0?

When will knoppix be updated with kde 3.5.0?

When will they change from using xfree86 to the newest xorg?

When will debian updated their install to a knoppix format , which would work better than their current text only install?

How long before kde 3.5.0 is in debian too?

how long before either of them are updated to the newest kernel?

One thing I like about knoppix and kanotix is that they provide both gui ndiswrapper and auto detecting stuff for getting your wireless-G network cards up and running etc.. , I am currently trying other linux , like rpm formated ones and other but most of those either don't provide ndiswrapper and some don't even think about providing wireless support , which makes them unless to me and people like me that need the ndiswrapper for their home network system that connects to their routers to their dsl etc..

debian seems really outdated , but knoppix does work even thou its outdated stuff in it, but with nvidia their has some errors in 3D mode if you do a alt-del-backspace command on x system, with nvidia 3D drivers loaded in debian based system , you lose the text display and are force to either restart x or reboot your computer , that the bigiest bug I have a problem with debian with, when you loose the text it gets green grapics and no basic prompt that you can see , yyou have to then guess what you are typeing without the text prompt,
problem with debian based systems and Geforce 6 6800 cards with 256MB memory on them, also will the nvidia demos every be converted to run on linux, like native nvidia linux demos would be nice if their were any at all

Why do they make drivers for linux but don't make demos too for linux?

I'd suggest checking the changelogs on the Knoppix site and contacting them directly.

Debian's current installer is MUCH, much more reliable and flexible than Knoppix's. But there's a GUI version of the Debian installer coming along. Maybe you'll like that?

Not really.
