various debian servers down?

Hi, I've been having a little trouble with apt recently. Everything was fine until a couple of days ago when i started getting these errors when attempting to apt-get update

I've searched various forums and the web and I've checked debians site, but apart from an unanswered post on a russian board theres no mention of these servers being down. This is my current sources.list file.

Quote:
deb ftp.uk.debian.org/debian/ stable main
deb-src ftp.uk.debian.org/debian/ stable main
deb non-us.debian.org/debian-non-US stable/non-US main
deb-src non-us.debian.org/debian-non-US stable/non-US main

deb people.debian.org/~daenzer/dri-trunk-sid/ ./
deb security.debian.org/ stable/updates main

deb ftp.uk.debian.org/debian/ stable main
deb-src ftp.uk.debian.org/debian/ stable main
Everything else is fine and so was apt until 2-3 days ago... I'm more than a little perplexed. Any ideas anyone? Oh one more thing, I also get a connection refused error when trying to browse to packages.debian.org but, again, I cant find any news of it being down.

Thanks in advance

PS I've had to remove the http bits from this post to get round the anti-spam measures so its not due to illegal sources.list entries

Yes, they are currently down. A few servers were compromised and they are working on it. Just keep trying until they come back up.

Thanks for the info

I wish the problem was just with my machine now, the possibility of backdoored packages doesnt seem particularly appealing

yup same thing here... however i was able to use a mirror from my provider which still was working all be it very slowly... pulled down 2 python packages and created dependency errors.... not funny. I don't think it has to do with the downage of some other servers though :-)
