Question TAB button doesn't work always

When I type in "sudo apt-get in" and press TAB, it completes word "install".
But when I logged in as super user and type in "apt-get in" and press TAB, it only beeps from system unit and doesn't complete "install". Why?

Debian 5.0.4 stable. Gnome. "gnome-terminal".

Sorry for second thread. I don't know how I did it...

You might also install the bash-completion package.
