stopping blank screen in Etch Gnome core

Hi I'm running Gnome core on etch and need to stop the screen going blank. Core has no interface so I'm unsure if it's going into powersave gnome screen saver or x screen saver. Can anyone advise how to stop the blanking or what file I need to install to stop it. Thanks

If your wanting to disable the DPMS use the xset command. To learn more about it type man xset

To disable the DPMS in a terminal type xset -dpms to enable it the command would be xset +dpms

Edit: If you want to disable it all together edit your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file, the monitor section and comment out the DPMS Option with a # sign.
