screen keeps turning blank on Debian8

I just installed debian8 on a sony vaio netbook.(model# PCG-4v1L).

this is a base installation, no DE or WM. however the console screen keeps going blank every few seconds. then the machine went into sleep mode. touching keyboard wakes up the machine, but a few seconds later, screen going blank again.

i don't understand this, please help.

this seems to be a 'Systemd' related issue. the screen turns off every 10 seconds, then sony vaio going to sleep mode.
