problems with su, gksu

Hi,

I run Debian etch and I did some updates the other day. Now when I try to open synaptic, i get this error:

Failed to run /usr/sbin/synaptic as user root:
Failed to communicate with gksu-run-helper.

Received:
configuration error - unknown item 'FAIL_DELAY' (notify administrator)

While expecting:
gksu: waiting

Also, when I try to type su in a terminal i get:

configuration error - unknown item 'FAIL_DELAY' (notify administrator)

Any ideas?
