Problem with mounting dvd & cd

Hello,

I've got a problem with mounting my dvd rom, When i run dmes i got the following result :

Code:

hdc: Pioneer DVD-ROM ATAPIModel DVD-106S 012, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
hdd: SONY DVD RW DRU-500A, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive

But i can't find hdc and hdd in /dev.

It may be due to the kernel, because before i compile my new kernel, the cdrom works. My kernel is 2.6.9 and i'm using Debian sid.

You must have forgot something.. check for cdrom support or /dev support.

OK, it was a problem due to the configuration of the kernel, the module in charge of cdroms was compiled as a module,
But now it'ok
