Printer and scanner


Hello there. I do have a USB printer (Lexmark Z33), and a USB scanner(Mustek 1200UB). How could i make them work in debian woody??

You need to load the "printer" and "scanner" modules. To do this type modprobe printer scanner. I'm not sure if there's anything else you need to do since I've never used a USB scanner or printer. Those modules need to be loaded, though. I'd recommend a www.google.com/linux search.

First you might want to change your profile info, it shows you are using Mandrake 9.0.

Ontopic, you might want to check out www.linuxprinting.org to see if you need any special drivers or not.
