Without seeing exactly what is going on it looks like the ide drive is getting into the mix. I suggest you disconnect the ide drive.

It doesn't make sense but....

I don't understand it, but I used the Auto Configure function to set the partitions for a multiple user set-up on both the IDE and SCSI Drive, then went back and manually changed the partitions again to the Reiserfs.

Then I used LILO for the Boot Loader.

This time it booted up and now it is ready for me to do the System Configuration.

Why did I have to use the Multiple User Auto Partition to get it to recognize both the IDE and SCSI?

How much trouble will I have to go through now to get the Partitions resized correctly?

Thanks for all of the help, so far.

Partition resizing at any time is risky but you can try. I would still diconnect the ide and then do an install to the scsi drive if that's the one you intend using.

Automatic Partitioning was wrong

I just fininshed with the Debian Configuration and it was going through the Installation when I started seeing an error that the device did not have enough room for the package.

Debian had set the /usr Partition to 1.4 GB and this was the Partition which ran out of room.

I didn't think these packages were going to be installed in the /usr Partition. Even so, 1.4 GB should have been enough for the web server, Desktop and SQL Database installation. I'm not even using it for mail.

And, it kept giving me the error message that the en_US Locale could not be found and it defaulted back to the C Locale. Why did it even ask for me to set the Locale if it can't find it anyway?

Oh Well. Come Monday I'll try something different. Maybe I'll go back to Mandrake. I have spent the last three days trying to do what was supposed to be a simple Net Install of the Debian Sarge Linux.
