Knoppix DVD was released a few months ago. But not many posts on it by users. What does everyone here this about this DVD and the special applications it has ? Please share your experience with this DVD. Thank You.
Likew aus9 I used the cd verison. I loved Knoppix 4 and ran it on my laptop until I dropped the hard drive. After replacing the hard drive I was going to install and use Knoppix 5. The only 2 issues I had for the little time I ramn it were: 1) The ndiswrapper never worked with my card. No I don't remember the card. I kept getting an error about ndiswrapper.ko. What I found on the internet was no help. The card worked fine with Knoppix 4. 2) I kept finding menus in German. I had download the English version but there was a lot of German. As I type this I'm installing Debian 3.1r3 on my laptop.
Since this is the Debian forum, has anyone checked out the Debian LiveCD? It allows one to build a livecd version of Debian with the packages you want (that are in main at this time) with a quick edit of the config file and one command. This allows one to easily have an up2date livecd with rescue/system tools instead of waiting for a project/distro to update or spending alot of time trying to remaster the livecd yourself.
