Is the debian dvd MD5SUM on the dvd?

https://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd...bt-dvd/MD5SUMS
has the MD5SUM for each dvd of the current amd64 debian software repository. Is this MD5SUM included somewhere on the dvd set itself?

I doubt it. The md5sum is designed to verify the validity of the *.iso file before it is burned to optical media. See man md5 for more.

Once the *.iso is burned to disk using the burn image tool, it is no longer a single file, but a decompressed set of files and directories in the image of the original. That would render the md5sum useless for verification purposes.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I will correct me.

The md5sum is just for checking that you got an official verified download.

Might be worth a try looking in the /boot/grub folder. Or copy your link to a text file on usb for later checks.
