Interesting question - Etch install without CD drive

Hi everybody,
I'm in an interesting predicament. I am installing Etch, well, or Lenny, on a very old machine: PII 350MHz, 256MB RAM, 8GB hard, 2 USBs but I cannot boot from USB since the BIOS does not support it. The CD drive is giving me trouble and I don't really want to pull out the DVD drive from my primary desktop. I'm also having trouble finding 5 working floppies to boot from them - I have found 3 so far. I can add it to the internal LAN and I can probably give it Internet access. All I need is to get it to a point where I have at least a bare Debian system where I can do a dist-upgrade or something from the Internet, or from the iso images on my USB flash drive, or from the LAN.

Any suggestions....

Err well in order of cheapest solution to most expensive..

1. Put the CD drive from you other machine in this one long enough to complete the install.
2. Go buy a box of floppies
3. Go buy a new CD or DVD drive for the system what are they $40.00 for a Dual layer DVD burner these days ?

so just quit being lazy and swap the Optical drive already.. you only need it long enough to complete the base install..

Yeah.... I know I should but I really didn't want to shut down my desktop. But you're probably right.
