installing kernel source


Hey sorry if this is a noobish question but i've been googling for a while and can't find what i'm looking for. I'm using a fresh install of debian etch with kernel 2.6.18-5-686 im trying to install the kernel source wiht the command:

apt-get install linux-source-2.6.18-5-686
can someone tell me what i am doing wrong?

Do you have Xorg (with a window manager or desktop) and Synaptic installed? The only reason I ask, is because in Synaptic, you get nice detailed descriptions as to what the packages are. I could suggest you search through Aptitude, but even I can't take the headache.

Also, what's the error you're getting when you run the command? I assume there's an error of some sort.

thanks i downloaded synaptic and foudn the source code i needed.
