how to Opengl installation?


I want to code in opengl. But couldn't figure out what package(s) I have to install using synaptic. I'm using debian sarge. Can anyone help?

Search for the GLUT packages, be sure to include the dev packages, as they are needed to develop your own code.

Thanks for your help. I've a question(maybe stupid). But how do i install opengl libraries? What package do i need? Will glut be all that i need?

apt-get install freeglut3 freeglut3-dev freeglut3-dbg glut-doc
Are you sure you want to program for OpenGL? Sorry for asking, but usually programmers know the system they're working on inside out, or at least they're familiar with it's package management. Of course there are exceptions, but that's very rare... Anyway, copy the first line above to your cli and hit enter
