How to allow all users Acess to usb devices not in /dev

i have a Kodak DC220 and i need to let all users have access to it. gtkam detects it fine but cant initialize it.it seems to go away when i allow all users access to /proc/bus/usb but that only works as long as i don't reboot or disconnect the camera.

not sure if this only applies to kernel 2.6.x but.....

in your /etc/fstab you should have:

none /proc/bus/usb usbfs defaults 0 0

next to defaults add something like ",umask=XXX" where XXX are numbers that work sort of the opposite of chmod; you subtract the umask # from 7 and thats what the chmod would look like. ex: umask=002 would look like chmod 775. And/Or you might be better off putting the users in all one group (I use local) and next to defaults you could put something like ",gid=local"..
big ex:

none /proc/bus/usb usbfs defaults,gid=local,umask=002 0 0

or none of this will work and im completely wrong.
