Gnome applet stops after nvidia installation

I've installed nvidia driver(Andrew E. Schulman's website) and after that I'm having a problem. After couple of reboots I get 3 errors sayin' that WindowList, ShowDesktopButton and WorkspaceSwitcher stopped unexpectedly do you want to restart these desklets(on GNOME)? So I had to restart these desklets. But the problem doesn't go away. I'm using Debian Sarge 31r2, kernel 2.6.8-2-386 and NVIDIA geforce3 Ti200 video card. Any help will be gladly appreciated. Also I searched the web with these keywords:

WindowList ShowDesktop WorkspaceSwitcher stopped unexpectedly debian
WindowList ShowDesktop WorkspaceSwitcher crashes nvidia debian
gnome applets stopped nvidia debian
gnome applets crashes nvidia debian
.....
But no luck(maybe because I'm not using the right word). I also searched forums but I couldn't find anything similar to my problems.
--AD

I took following steps for installing nvidia driver:

1) Changed /etc/apt/sources.list to:
deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian stable main contrib non-free

2)apt-get install module-assistant nvidia-kernel-common

m-a prepare

m-a auto-install nvidia

3)apt-get -t stable install nvidia-glx

4) cp -p /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 /etc/X11/XF86Config-4.bak

md5sum /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 >| /var/lib/xfree86/XF86Config-4.md5sum

dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86

5)addgroup --system video

adduser $USER video

6) grep -q ^nvidia /etc/modules || echo nvidia >> /etc/modules

Output of XFree86.0.log:

I searched google but could not find any solution. Only solution I find sayin' to restart the desklets in question. I did exactly that. But the problem doesn't go away. This forum had been helpful before. Expert linux users kindly help me or show me a direction where I can get help so that those who have the same problem can find a solution. Thanks.
