I can't see the scores. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? It
happens elsewhere too -- like quizes online, where I can't see the
questions, nor the time left. A friend of mine is running Debian Sarge
aswell (and Firefox 1.0), and he doesn't have this problem.
littlemidget what does the following command show?
ls -al /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/plugins
Do you have these components there? i.e. flashplayer.xpt and libflashplayer.so and if you have libmozswfdec.so as well, are both flashplayer.xpt and libflashplayer.so higher up than libmozswfdec.so? Some sites are fussy about the flashplugin used. They prefer macromedia's own. If you have not Macromedia's Flash Player, download it from Macromedia's homepage, follow the instructions on how to run the installer.
BTW the install path for mozilla-firefox should be /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox. If all else fails you may need to uinstall both flashplayer-mozilla and flashplugin-nonfree (if you have them installed) and re-run Macromedia's Flash Installer as root to the above specified location - /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox. Good luck.

littlemidget, revisit my previous reply i.e. it has been edited. Also these are what I have in my /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/plugins:

If you have the flash stuff in the order they are ordered on my box, you should be fine with any site.
Well, as I said -- I have nothing in /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/plugins, but I do have three plugins in .mozilla/plugins, and that should do. Firefox goes through all of the folders, searching for plugins..

little midget, like I said, why not not give what I have suggested a try? I did not run the flash installer as normal user, did it as root and the flash bits got into /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/plugins, from what I understand is the place where it should be. Since you have tried everything why not try what I have proposed? No harm right?

I will try, if you could be so kind and tell me how to do that :-)
Make SURE you have all opened browsers closed before running the installer as ROOT. After you are done, yo can go back to http://www.macromedia.com/ to test if Flash works.
The install paths are /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox for Firefox and /usr/lib/opera...also remove any local user mozilla-firefox config /home/user/ (where user is username of normal user e.g. littlemidget).
