Unhappy faster startup scripts

I read somewhere that their is a package that makes linux start faster: it said that they use multitasking to start in the same time scripts that do not depend on each other's action. I don't know where to find them(i forgot), I think(40% sure) that the name was starting with init... I think I read the article about them on a post @ dot.kde.org. If you know information about this please respond the this post. Thanks!

initng?

Mmmh I tried it (too) quickly, it broke very fast my booting process, but I'm sure it works. Take care

edit: it is still in experimental but only contains one critical bug. If you have /usr on an external partition you have to tweak it to work.
