I seriously doubt if opera would be in Debian coz it's considered non-free.

Hi!

Try http://packages.debian.org :

http://packages.debian.org/stable/web/mozilla-browser gives me Mozilla 1.0
http://packages.debian.org/stable/web/galeon gives Galeon 1.2.5
http://packages.debian.org/stable/web/konqueror gives Konqueror 2.2.2

For unofficial Debian Packages, try:

Goodluck!

(Forgot to mention backports.org )

Debian, 3 distros in 1: stable, testing, and unstable (and to a lesser extent, experimental)

For a desktop, use debian unstable, not stable. Stable is essentially the "server version".

You can download Opera from opera.com in .deb format. Once downloaded use 'dpkg -i ' to install it.
